Acella Construction is committed to practicing sustainable building. The company has been involved with building LEED Certified projects since 2006, and are members of the US Green Building Council. We actively participate in assisting the Owner’s LEED Consultant(s) and Commissioning Agent, the Architect, and the MEP Engineers in determining feasibility for individual LEED point criteria, and assist in providing the documentation that is crucial to completing the LEED certification process with USGBC. Acella’s ability to provide pre-construction services is also integral to our client’s success in green building practices.
As a firm, we promote sustainable quality of life improvements for our clients, our communities and ourselves through education and active participation in sustainability initiatives and organizations. Acella Construction has provided preconstruction and construction management services on a number of LEED and anticipated LEED projects. Using our collaborative approach to each project, we engage the client, design professionals, consultants, subcontractors and other project team members to ensure that all criteria are met when designing and building a sustainable facility.
To enhance our efforts, we pursue training for our staff members and encourage them to seek LEED accreditation. One thing we pride ourselves on is that all of Acella Constructions Project Managers are LEED Accredited Professionals. We also pursue improvement through involvement in local and national organizations whose interests are focused on pursuing energy reduction, minimizing impacts on natural resources, enhancing conservation practices and promoting an ecological balance. Each project we build is staffed with professionals who have the skills to recognize sustainable opportunities and employ effective and successful solutions to such challenges.
We also know that in order to best advise our clients, we need to also be responsible on a corporate level. To do this, we have taken steps to becoming more environmentally responsible. We’ve recently implemented a formal recycling program at our Norwell headquarters, and are extending it to our job sites as well.

The Acella team, led by Scott Brash, the project superintendent, and several huge time saving ideas by Anthony Dirubbo, allowed us to complete our 14,200 s/f building on time. I have never worked with a better superintendent than Scott – as he performed miracles on a daily basis. If you are contemplating building a club house, please take the time to call Dave Dirubbo, Acella’s president and make an appointment. You will not be disappointed.
