Dirubbo
Vice President
Dave Dirubbo is a highly motivated self starter who is always
looking to improve the construction process. Prior to starting Acella Construction Corporation he spent seven years as a project manager and a senior project manager
at Lee Kennedy Company. During that time Dave’s project
management talents led to the successful completion of numerous
projects including the Wesleyan University Dormitory
and the base building core and shell for Boston Properties and
tenant fit out for Shaw’s Supermarkets at the Prudential
Center. Dave is extremely in tune with the current software,
computer and communications equipment and links
that are required to effectively manage the flow of information
needed in today’s construction process. In addition
to his IT skills Dave was also responsible for training the
assistant project managers and coop students for Lee Kennedy
Company. He also wrote the project management manual that the
company now uses.
Prior to joining Lee Kennedy Company Dave worked for Walsh Brothers
as an assistant project manager and estimator. He was part of
the team that constructed the $60,000,000 Photonics Laboratory
for Boston University abutting the Massachusetts Turnpike. Dave
received a Bachelors Degree in management from Bentley College
and holds an unrestricted Massachusetts State Supervisors license.
As Vice President of Operations, Dave is responsible for overseeing
the entire construction operation. He is in charge of
the projects in the field and monitors the companies Loss
Control and Safety Program. He assembles and trains
the project management and superintendent staff, and implements
policies and procedures. His strength in the IT area is a great asset in developing the company’s information
systems.
