NORWELL, Mass. (February 1, 2010) — Acella Construction Corporation has been selected to manage the construction for the Wellfleet Preservation Hall. The plans call for Acella to completely gut and then renovate the former Catholic Church and transform this beloved historic structure into a year-round cultural center that will help to revitalize Main Street in Wellfleet, MA. The plans also include adding a 2,200 s.f, 2 level addition to the existing structure. The building will become a hub for cultural, recreational and intellectual programs, and will provide a unique venue for civic, educational, social and creative arts events.
“It’s been a great experience for Acella Construction to work so closely with Marla Rice, President of the Wellfleet Preservation Hall Board, Architect Jim Hadley, and the entire committee on this project,” said David Dirubbo, President of Acella Construction. “This project continues to solidify our commitment to working on the Cape. I realize how important this type of project is to the community, and we’re excited to get started on building the facility that this community has been dreaming of for so long”
Acella has been doing preconstruction services on this project since October, and construction of the project is scheduled to begin in March.
The architect for the project is Hadley Crow Studio of Orleans, MA.
