NORWELL, Mass. (April 20, 2010)— “Today” show host Meredith Vieira, who was born in Providence, RI and summers in Wellfleet, is the honorary chairwoman of a New York auction benefit for Wellfleet Preservation Hall. The New York City event, which will be held Thursday evening, April 22nd, will help raise money to turn the hall into a community center. “We are proud to be a part of the Wellfleet community and strongly support any effort, like the creation of Preservation Hall, to restore its vibrancy,” Vieira said. Acella Construction, the projects General Contractor, is continuing the renovation, which is scheduled to be completed in December 2010. The plans call for Acella to completely gut and then renovate the former Catholic Church and transform this beloved historic structure into a year-round cultural center that will help to revitalize Main Street in Wellfleet, MA. The plans also include adding a 2,200 s.f, multi-level addition to the existing structure.

"A renovation project in the middle of a working office can be challenging for staff and workers. Bob was sensitive to our environment and scheduled any potential 'disruptive' work to be done before or after hours.
