Espirito Santo Church – Fall River, MA
Architect: Annino Associates
The 500+ s/f addition to the Espirito Santo Church in Fall River, Massachusetts revolves around a 45’ tall bell tower and new circular chapel addition, with a patio, and pergola. The new bell tower is 45’ of galvanized steel, and was designed to be one of the hallmarks of the church exterior. It has a 13’ deep reinforced foundation, and was designed with a walkthrough at the base to enter the new chapel. Along with new lights and a 12’ copper cross on top, the tower is also home to the original Espirito Santo Church bell dated 1910. The bell was removed from the existing school, sent to Ohio to be refurbished, and now hangs as a proud centerpiece on the new tower. Other prominent features of the exterior include expanded walkways and a crescent shaped stone wall with bluestone cap, combined with a six column pergola makes this new patio and sitting area unique and inviting. The matching brick on the addition blends in perfectly with the existing church. Many pieces including large round stain glass windows salvaged from a neighboring church, along with gilded woodwork that were also saved, will help bring the old and new together to give the interior a distinguished decor. |

St. Gerard Majella Church – Canton, MA
Architect: Pando Associates Architects, Inc.
This project was a complete interior facelift of a church including the rebuilding and refinishing of pews. The pews were removed by a historical renovation contractor out of Pennsylvania. They were hauled back to their shop and meticulously rebuilt and refinished. While that was occurring, we repainted the interior and exterior of the church, replaced the carpet and added some handrails. The pews were then brought back and reinstalled in their previous location, with the addition of new kneelers. |

Computershare – Edison, NJ
Architect: Pando Associates Architects, Inc.
This 140,000 square foot, live renovation incorporated multiple tenant spaces into a single mixed use production and business facility for Computershare Investor Services. Phasing of construction around the clients business needs including a proxy season, high level investor security, and a zero downtime mandate allowed hundreds of employees to be consolidated from other buildings. To accomplish this several “move weekends” were planned to transfer telephone, network, computer stations and personal belongings. This allowed associates to literally log-off on Friday at one address and on Monday arrive to work at their new location without interruption.

Center for Coastal Studies – Provincetown, MA
Architect: LDa
This project was the last of a 3 phase renovation to complete the conversion of the old Provincetown Annex School into a research facility for the Center for Coastal Studies. The scope of work for this phase consisted of demolition of the existing roof and the installation of a new roof system, skylights, ceiling fans & gutters. All work for this phase had to be completed while the building was occupied. In order to make this happen as quickly and with little disruption as possible the demolition and new roof installation had to happen in sections based on the amount of work and temporary protection that could be put into place in one day. In order to maximize the amount of work that could be completed in one day a prefabricated 4” vented 4’ x 8’ Polyiso Insulation system with OSB backing was ordered prior to construction.

Computershare Investor Services – Canton, MA
Architect: Pando Associates Architects, Inc.
A live renovation to a 130,000 sq 3-story building is being completed by performing construction in seven phases. Areas of the building have been established as swing space with all moves occurring over the weekend with no down time to either construction or Computershare's employees. However, due to the complexity of each personnel move (some including as many as 373 in a single weekend), hard and fast completion dates must
be met for every phase of construction. This project has a 6
month duration.

Provincetown Art Museum – Provincetown, MA
Architect: Machado & Silvetti Associates
The Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) project consisted of demolishing a portion of the existing building where a 4,700 sf basement was cast in place. Two stories were constructed on the new foundation and tied into the existing museum totaling approximately 10,000 sf. The new building houses galleries, storage and climate control systems. The building façade is compiled of many different finishes which words alone cannot describe. Other notable points of this project were the extremely tight site, installation of sheet pilings to hold back the earth and that the project was constructed under the LEED program for a potential silver certification.

Architect: Pando Associates Architects, Inc.
Professional office expansion and renovation included demolition and new construction to an occupied space. The client required a continuously operated call center throughout the duration of the project. To achieve this, the schedule was phased so that employee downtime was limited only to the time it took for personal belongings to be moved. Following a five week renovation of the expansion area, all employees were given temporary phone and data services while the second phase was completed in just three more weeks. A second move was then required for final office spaces to be occupied.
