Acella Construction Completes 22,000 SF Retail Building in North Attleboro, Mass.

New building adds two new tenants to successful North Attleboro Marketplace

NORWELL, Mass. (July 25, 2008)—Acella Construction Corporation, one of New England’s leading construction services firms, specializing in construction management, general contracting, design-build, and pre-construction services, announced today that it has recently completed the construction of a 22,000-square-foot retail building in North Attleboro, Mass.

Located at 1360 South Washington Street in North Attleboro, the 22,000-square-foot structural steel frame retail building added two tenants to the already successful North Attleboro Marketplace, which is owned by Carpionato Properties, Inc., a Johnston, RI-based real estate development company. 

North Attelboro Market Place is a new super power center anchored by Lowe's Home Improvement, Circuit City, Bed Bath & Beyond, Joann Fabrics, DSW, and Dick's Sporting Goods in this super-regional retail market. Uniquely, the market draws from the Greater Boston and the Greater Providence suburbs.

Adjacent to a high volume Wal-Mart, the site shares access with Target and the Emerald Square Mall. Neighboring "big box" retailers include Best Buy, Toys “R” Us, Marshall’s, Old Navy, Michael’s and Babies “R” Us.

After reducing the construction schedule at the start of the project, Acella’s completion date was made hard and fast once tied into the tenant leases for turnover. As with many of the current worksites, a vast number of existing utilities needed to be relocated in a site already too restricted for the building. Exterior finishes consisted of decorative split face block and exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS) façade.
