Acella Construction Corp. To Manage Sacred Heart School’s $1M Renovations

Norwell-based Acella Construction Corp. has been chosen as construction manager for Kingston-based Sacred Heart School’s new Science and Innovation Center.

Phase I of the $1 million project will be completed over the summer and will be ready for the start of the 2014-2015 school year. It will include a new biology lab with a greenhouse, physical science lab, prep room with equipment for sterilization and refrigeration and a common space for faculty. It also involves expanding the computer science lab.

Phase II is scheduled for completion during the school year and will include a new earth and space sciences lab and a state-of-the-art physics lab.

Wayland-based Ai3 Architects designed the center and laboratories. Ryan Klebes, senior project manager at Acella Construction, is the lead on the project.

Sacred Heart School is a private, Catholic, co-ed school serving students from preschool through grade 12.

Working with Acella was great. They were always available to answer my questions and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. They were very flexible and patient and worked around our working schedule – sometimes coming in very early in the morning. Their work turned out wonderfully and they even painted a large wall that was not part of the scope to get the whole space looking shiny and new. This was my first renovation project and they made me look good! I would highly recommend Acella.
