Company sponsors youth mountain biking group; president Dave Dirubbo serves as assistant coach
PEMBROKE and HINGHAM, MA, ISSUED JUNE 19, 2018…Acella Construction Corporation, a leader in construction management and now celebrating its 15th year in operation, recently announced its ongoing partnership with the Wompatuck Warriors Youth Mountain Biking Group. Dave Dirubbo, president of Acella Construction Corporation, has been involved since the inception of the Wompatuck Warriors in March 2017; he just completed his second year serving as an assistant coach of the group. Additionally, Acella Construction Corporation sponsors the group and provides a trailer to transport race-day supplies, bikes, and spare equipment for the team’s events, as well as provides additional supplies and equipment as needed.
The Wompatuck Warriors has a total of 36 kids, ranging in age from 7th to 12th grade and from towns ranging from Plymouth to Quincy, with a concentration of children from Norwell and Hingham. They meet three times a week until the six-week racing season, during which the team competes every Saturday around New England.
Groups are divided based on ability levels, and the team practices several components of the sport, on and off the bikes, including skills and drills, time trials, group rides, hill repeats, maintenance, tire changes, mounting and dismounting during races, and obstacle skills.
Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA, is the team’s home course. The group also travels to other parks during racing season as well as Kingdom Trails in Vermont over the summer.
Passionate about both mountain biking and giving back to the community, Dirubbo jumped at the opportunity to mentor young children in a sport that has played an important role in his life.
“As assistant coach I have loved watching the kids progress throughout this season and last,” said Dirubbo. “Plus, being involved forces me to get out for a ride!”

Working with Acella was great. They were always available to answer my questions and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. They were very flexible and patient and worked around our working schedule – sometimes coming in very early in the morning. Their work turned out wonderfully and they even painted a large wall that was not part of the scope to get the whole space looking shiny and new. This was my first renovation project and they made me look good! I would highly recommend Acella.
