Our Culture

Acella’s commitment to Building Relationships, One Project at a Time is well evidenced in the ongoing volunteer efforts of the company and individual staff members. We believe that one of the fundamental obligations of a successful company is to contribute in a significant way to the community. We work hard to make a difference in our community by donating our time and talents to a wide variety of non-profit organizations, especially those that benefit children and families with special needs. Charitable contributions are made at every level of the company; employees donate their personal time with volunteer activities and non-profit board service, while at the corporate level we donate labor and make financial contributions. On many projects we’re involved with, Acella’s employees have worked closely with subcontractors to secure appliances, materials, labor and more.

These are just a few of the organizations we actively support:

  • Rodman Ride for Kids
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Associates for Human Services
  • Boy Scouts of America-Old Colony Council
  • Cardinal Cushing Centers
  • Friendship Home
  • Justice Resource Institute
  • Latham Centers
  • Lutheran Social Services
  • Norwell Food Pantry-Adopt a Family for the Holidays
  • Norwell VNA
  • Riverview School
  • South Shore Chamber of Commerce
  • South Shore YMCA

Acella with long-time friend and colleague, Dave Ellis (pictured center), enjoy the taste of the South Shore fundraising event for the South Shore YMCA as one of the event sponsors.

Acella volunteered to give hayrides to local children and families at the South Shore Emilson YMCA Fall Festival held on October 17, 2015.

The Acella team, led by Scott Brash, the project superintendent, and several huge time saving ideas by Anthony Dirubbo, allowed us to complete our 14,200 s/f building on time. I have never worked with a better superintendent than Scott – as he performed miracles on a daily basis. If you are contemplating building a club house, please take the time to call Dave Dirubbo, Acella’s president and make an appointment. You will not be disappointed.
